Introduction to Woodcarving Workshop, Pittsburgh, PA
This course was a solo teaching experience. This two-day woodcarving workshop was offered to members of the Western Pennsylvania Woodworkers, it provided an excellent introduction to the basics of woodcarving combining design with execution. The course started off with essential techniques of sharpening carving gouges, and then the student worked on their own block of wood to create an acanthus leaf.
